Today I am publishing the summary of responses to consultations on four major parts of the implementation of Part 1 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 covered by the following consultations:
Consultation on a Private Rented Sector Code of Practice for Landlords and Agents;
Consultation on the Regulation of Private Housing (Information, Periods and Fees for Registration and Licensing) (Wales) Regulations 2015 and;
Designation of a Licensing Authority under Part 1 of the Housing (Wales) Act.
The findings from these consultations have informed our thinking in terms of the implementation of Part 1 of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014. Today, I am launching the Rent Smart Wales brand, under which these provisions will be implemented. Rent Smart Wales will formally launch in autumn, 2015.
