The administration of justice in Wales is mainly the responsibility of the UK government, but the Welsh Government also has responsibilities and interests in this area.

What we do

The Welsh Government’s Welsh Tribunals Unit is responsible for the administration of a number of tribunals that make decisions about how the law is applied in Wales. Further information about these tribunals can be found on Law Wales (external link).

We also work with the Ministry of Justice and its agencies, such as HM Courts and Tribunals Service and the National Offender Management Service, on other aspects of justice in Wales.
