Agenda item 2: EHRC: Equality and Human Rights Monitor 2023: Is Wales Fairer?

The Forum heard a presentation from the Equality and Human Rights Commission about the main findings and recommendations of the Is Wales Fairer? 2023 report. The report highlighted the situation of equality and human rights in Wales, emphasised successes, and challenges, and made recommendations for the Welsh Government, public bodies, and employers to consider. 

Agenda item 3: research project on workplace enforcement data

The Forum heard an outline and objectives of the research project on workplace enforcement data. The project, led by Cardiff University, aims to build on fair work indicators and map the existing data sources on work health and safety. Researchers are seeking qualitative data to understand workers' experiences in different sectors. Members’ cooperation and input was requested to help with this project aimed at improving the evidence base and data in Wales.

Agenda item 4: draft online learning specification

The Forum received an update on the proposal and feedback for the online learning project on workplace rights and responsibilities. The project aims to develop an online resource to increase access to information, advice, and support for workers and employers on the workers’ rights and responsibilities landscape in Wales. The forum discussed feedback and support of the Forum members to develop and promote the online learning tool.
