Diffiniad

A description of the service, the purposes and the total amount of an estimate shown at the beginning of each vote. It is the ambit of the vote which Parliament agrees in the Appropriation Act. Monies cannot be paid unless the purpose for which they are being used comes within the ambit of the vote.
