At the age of 18 a person can change their name by enrolled deed poll. Young people over 16 can change their legal name by unenrolled deed poll without requiring consent of those with parental responsibility. Learners under 18 can also change their legal name by enrolled deed poll with consent from all those with legal responsibility.
