I wrote to you on 24 June regarding your request for information on road projects.
Information requested
You have asked for the following information:
A list of road building projects in Wales that in the period 1st January 2022 - 31st May 2022 have been cancelled, paused, received full approval and are proceeding to or actually under construction.
Our Response
I can confirm the Welsh Government holds the information captured by your request.
The following trunk road projects were under construction in the period 1st January 2022 - 31st May 2022:
- A487 Caernarfon and Bontnewydd Bypass
- A55 Abergwyngregyn to Tai’r Meibion Improvements
- A487 New Dyfi Bridge Improvements
- A465 Gilwern to Brynmawr (Section 2)
- A465 Dowlais Top to Hirwaun (Sections 5 and 6)
- A40 Llanddewi Velfrey to Redstone Cross improvements
The following project are continuing to proceed through the development stages:
- A494 River Dee Bridge Improvements
- A483 Junctions 3-6 Improvements
- A483 Llandeilo
Please use the link below to access a list of road schemes that have been paused and are currently subject to the Roads Review.
The following trunk road project was cancelled in February 2022.
- A55 Junctions 14-16A Improvements
