Dear

ATISN 16264 – Welsh Therapies Advisory Committee

Thank you for your request to the Welsh Government for information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000) received on 14 April 2022 regarding the Welsh Therapies Advisory Committee.  You have requested the following:

  1. the number of meetings held in each calendar year from 2011 to 2021 (or from whenever created or established until 2021, if later); and
  2. the cost in maintaining the same, again broken down by calendar year and over the same period,

Response

The Welsh Therapies Advisory Committee function is to advise the Welsh Government on professional therapeutic health issues in Wales in relation to the following professions: art(s) therapies, podiatry, dietetics, occupational therapy, orthoptics, physiotherapy, orthotics and prosthetics, clinical psychology, paramedics and speech and language therapy.

  1.  The committee meets 3 times a year.
  2.  From 2011 to 2019 the administration costs were £4,500 per year. From 2020-2021 the committee met virtually, so no costs were incurred.
