Dear
ATISN 16234
Thank you for your request which I received on 7 April 2022. You asked for the following information in relation to Welsh Government disclosure ATISN 16232:
- how many miles were covered during those 799 trips referenced in the disclosure with a breakdown of where the journeys started and ended?
The miles covered for the 799 journeys was 48,696.
With reference to the second part of your question about where the journeys started and ended. The time required to provide this information would exceed the appropriate limit set out in the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004. The appropriate limit specified for central government is £600. This represents the estimated cost of it taking over 24 hours of time to determine whether we hold the information and to thereafter locate, retrieve and extract it.
The provision would require the review of a minimum of 750 records and collation of the requested information. A calculation of the time requirement for this request using a conservative 2 minutes per record is shown below.
Calculation of the time requirement for the review of 750 records and subsequent collation, allowing 2 minutes per record:
750 x 2 = 1500
1500/60 = 25 hours
If you are dissatisfied with the Welsh Government’s handling of your request, you can ask for an internal review within 40 working days of the date of this response. Requests for an internal review should be addressed to the Welsh Government’s Freedom of Information Officer at:
