Dear

ATISN 16077 – Meeting Regarding Ty Llwyd Quarry

Information requested

Thank you for your request which I received on Monday 14 February.  You asked for:

  • a copy of the minutes of a meeting of February 2022 between the leader of Caerphilly Council (Ms Marsden), it's Chief Executive of Caerphilly County Borough Council and Julie James MS, with regards to Ty Llwyd Quarry (Ynysddu).

Our response

After a search of our records I have determined that the information you have requested is not held by Welsh Government. We hold minutes of the meeting on the date you requested, but no minutes with regards to discussions about Ty Llwyd Quarry. The minutes only refer to other policy matters.

The reason that we don’t hold any minutes regarding discussions about Ty Llwyd Quarry is that the meeting was convened for the purpose of discussing recycling performance. Following the conclusion of the meeting, Caerphilly CC briefly raised Ty Llwyd but there was no substantive discussion. Therefore, the minutes of the meeting pertain only to recycling performance.
