We are continuing to deliver EU funding programmes

Applications for EU funds are still being developed and approved in line with objectives agreed by the European Commission.

The UK Treasury will provide a full lifetime guarantee for all structural and investment projects approved before the UK leaves the EU.

This also includes investments to UK organisations through the European Territorial Co-operation programmes from which Wales benefits, including the Ireland Wales programme, as well as programmes directly managed by the European Commission, such as Horizon 2020.

The Welsh Government’s plan for the UK’s exit from the EU is set out in Securing Wales’ Future which outlines proposals for replacing EU funding from UK sources after 2020.  The policy paper ‘Regional Investment in Wales after Brexit’ represents the first step in the process of designing a new approach to regional economic development in Wales.
